With the new season starting, every team has some optimism in the camp. Manchester United had a lot of optimism due to signing the famed Louis Van Gaal as their new manager, replacing the much maligned David Moyes. A lot of that optimism was gone after the first game for United after losing to Swansea City.
Bar Lukaku (that is me being generous), show me one consistent player in that entire United squad, heck the manager has been inconsistent himself, probably the most confused since David Moyes. Anthony Martial played almost every game under Louis Van Gaal, who has a ruthless streak of coming down hard on “lazy” players.
Why is Jones having six injections to play in a friendly? November 18, 2017 While Jose Mourinho broke some great news to Manchester United fans on Friday afternoon, revealing that Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Marcos Rojo would all be in the matchday squad for Newcastle on Saturday, he also confirmed that Phil Jones is unavailable with injury.
A quick jog here, a shoving match there. Throw in a laundry basket, a concealed headset and talk of telescopes and you understand why Jose Mourinho is touchline box office. Jose Mourinho’s touchline antics make him box office but he took it too far shaking Louis van Gaal’s hand in Manchester United dugout (at least there was no eye poking!).
EVEN allowing for a slow news day, TV coverage of David Bowie's death was a tad over the top. Luvviedom does, of course, tend to overdo these things (nothing like a good cry, darling) but the Bowie tearfest left millions bemused. For the truth is that Bowie in his many manifestations left at least half the population stone cold.
